***No exemptions apply:

Starting May 12, 2025, it will be mandatory to present a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate to enter Ecuador. This requirement applies to:

1. Travelers who are nationals or residents of Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, and Brazil.
2. Travelers of any nationality or residence who have spent more than 10 days in transit or visiting any of the above-mentioned countries before entering Ecuador.

Important:

1. The certificate must show that the vaccine was received at least 10 days before travel.
2. Ecuadorian nationals or residents without prior vaccination who plan to travel to high-risk areas in the Ecuadorian Amazon (Sucumbíos, Orellana, Napo, Pastaza, Morona Santiago, and Zamora Chinchipe) must be vaccinated 10 days before their trip.

***Ecuador's Organic Law on Human Mobility provides that all foreign tourists must have health insurance. Any foreigner who enters Ecuador through ports, airports or borders must present a certificate, invoice or proof of having international travel insurance, whether public or private, that is valid for as long as they are going to stay in the country.
