Holbox by Xaloc

Holbox by Xaloc is a beachfront hotel located on the island of Holbox. The white sandy beaches at Holbox invite you to have relaxing vacations and enjoy the nature. At a close distance is Isla Pajaros (Birds Island) a natural reserve home of pelicans, flamingos and many other bird species where human beings are not allowed to enter, so you can only watch them from the distance. From April through October pink flamingos arrive to Holbox, where they are able to eat microorganisms that gave them their characteristic color. Cancun International Airport (CUN) is located 160 kilometers (100 mi) away and you have to head to Chiquilá, a village from where you must take a ferry to Holbox.

This hotel on Holbox has 27 guest rooms and cabins, equipped with air conditioning, terrace and private bathroom with shower. The cabins were built in a circular shape with high ceilings made of palm leaves and they also have coffee maker, hairdryer and hammock.

The property features two pools, safe deposit boxes at the front desk, laundry services and luggage storage. Internet access is available for an extra fee and you can book a tour in the lobby or rent a golf cart to explore the town. The restaurant serves Mexican cuisine, mainly seafood but with several options for meat lovers or vegetarians. Currency exchange is available and the hotel accepts credit cards.

***Holbox Island has only one ATM and most shops do not accept credit or debit cards. We recommend bringing enough cash.
