El Almejal is an ecological lodge-style property located between the Pacific Ocean and the tropical rain forest, in Bahía Solano, Colombia. This hotel has a pool, a restaurant, and a terrace, as well as a reading room, a game room, water refill stations, safe deposit boxes at the front desk, an outdoor fireplace, and shops. This ecolodge in Bahía Solano offers internet access, tour assistance, surfing lessons, and transfers to Bahía Solano Airport (BSC). The 10 cabins at the property are fitted with two bedrooms, one bathroom, mosquito nets, and a terrace in the master bedroom. The two superior guest rooms are located on the upper part of the hotel, thus enjoy ocean view; to reach these accommodations is required to climb 85 steps, and are provided with a waterfall-shaped open-air shower. Due to its location, the tide rises slowly every 6 hours; at low tide, pools with seawater appear around the rocks, like warm natural Jacuzzis, while the beach is suitable for outdoor activities such as tai-chi, yoga, soccer, and beach volleyball. You can also enjoy the sight of humpback whales, migratory birds, tours to get to know little frogs, and guided tours through the natural reserve.
