The hotel and leisure club is ideally situated in the centre of Dumfries opposite the Regional Council Offices, adjacent to the new DG1 leisure complex and only 50 yards from the town centre shops, Odeon Cinema and Theatre Royal. The train and bus stations are about 3 and 5 minutes away respectively. Guests can reach Southerness Beach in some 20 minutes by car. Because of its location just north of the border, this accommodation is a popular choice for overnight stops. Built in 1900 and renovated in 2008, the hotel offers 91 en-suite guestrooms with a contemporary feel. The extensive leisure facilities in the Barracuda Club ensure that guests will not know boredom.
