Some of the desserts that you cannot miss during your stay in Chihuahua are "manzanas chapeteadas", "jamoncillo de Parral" or "dulce de leche", "palanquetas", "cajeta de camote y leche", "dulce de camote", "cajeta de membrillo", "crema de nuez", "nueces garapiñadas", and "torrejas", consisting of a slice of bread, usually several days old, soaked in milk or wine and topped with egg, then fried in a pan; its can be served with sprinkled cinnamon and sweetened with honey.
Among the typical beverages you must try are "sotol", the most important and traditional beverages of the state, whose taste is very similar to tequila, as well as "Margarita", the famous cocktail prepared with tequila, orange liqueur, lemon, and salt.
